Two Factor Authentication

Overview
  • Set up two-factor authentication (2FA) by installing an authenticator app on your mobile device, and following the steps in Mitimes to complete the process.
  • You can set up 2FA on a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.

Two factor Authentication is an electronic authentication method in which a user is granted access to a website or application only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence to an authentication mechanism.

To set up 2FA, you’ll need to access your Mitimes using a web browser. You can’t set up 2FA using your mobile device.

  1. Go to the Mitimes login screen.
  2. Enter your email address and password, then click Log in.
  3. Click on the hamburger menu at the top right of your screen.
  4. Select My Profile.
  5. Select the My Details tab on the My Profile screen.
  6. Click to Enable 2FA in the right column of this screen.

When you log onto Mitimes go to the mamburger menu at the top right of your screen.
